Legal Recruiter

Hire an Esquire is an on-demand workforce of attorneys for law firms and in-house legal teams, and the future of the legal career. We’re an early stage, venture-backed legal tech company with offices in New York, Pittsburgh and San Francisco.

You must be passionate about matching attorneys to the right jobs.  You’ll support a tech-enabled recruiting process and actively post jobs, screen candidates, interact with clients and onboard new hires on a daily basis. You’ll follow and improve upon existing recruiting process to ensure that customers always find the right people lighting fast.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the first point of contact for attorney candidates
  • Handle end to end in the recruiting process, including posting jobs, screening candidates, submitting to client and onboarding to new jobs
  • Conduct phone screenings and in person interviews daily
  • Prioritize candidates and submit to clients
  • Coach attorneys on how to improve their profile
  • Develop, improve and follow processes and best practices for recruiting team
  • Engage with engineering team to suggest ways to further automate recruiting processes
  • Utilize ATS, Hire an Esquire product, and other technologies on a daily basis
  • Work with sales team to fulfill customer job orders quickly and maintain a high level of quality
  • Maintain knowledge about the product and troubleshoot any customer issues
  • Be an evangelist for Hire an Esquire

You should have:

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in the legal industry
  • Proven record of success in a full recruiting life cycle - identifying, screening and interviewing
  • Knowledge about and passion for the legal staffing / recruiting industry, with a strong desire to improve it
  • Creativity thought process to think outside the box on how to improve the status quo
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Passionate about technology products, especially legal tech
  • Understanding of early stage startups
  • Strong organizational skills and high degree of responsiveness
  • Tech savviness and ability to collaborate with engineering team on product
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrated proactivity and ability to JFDI
  • Intellectual curiosity and drive to succeed
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Enthusiasm to roll up sleeves and chip in wherever necessary

Salary: $40K-$50K base, commission and equity
